This is my attempt at building a fixtures page using Drupal 6.x (http://drupal.org/) with the modules cck (http://drupal.org/project/cck) and views (http://drupal.org/project/views).
This is only a basic page that I may use in a website I am developing.
First of all I am assuming you have Drupal 6.x installed with the modules cck and views enabled.
First step is to create a specific content for storing fixtures. To do this go to
Administer -> Content types ->Add Content type
Fill in the details:
Name: Match
Type: match
Description: Match Fixtures and Results
In the Submission form settings change the Title field label to Date and the Body field label remove all text and leave as blank.
Click save content type
You should now have a list one of which is Match. Click on manage fields and you will be presented with a page that has three fields.
Add a new group and call it fixture and click save
Then add 4 new fields Home Team, Home Score, Away Team, Away Score. The team should be text and score should be integer.
Using the cross symbol drag the 4 fields you have just created and add them to the fixture group. So you should have something like
+ Date
+ Menu Settings
+ File Attachments
+ fixture
+ Home Team
+ Home Score
+ Away Team
+ Away Score
Now we need to go to
Administer-> Site building -> Views
Click the Add tab
View Name: Fixtures
View description: fixtures
View type: node
Next
You then need to make sure that all the settings are the same as in the following picture

Start adding some fixtures and you should see a list of fixtures.
I am still looking for a way to add 'v' in the middle, so if you have any ideas please let me know.

This is my first time i visit here. I found so many entertaining stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the enjoyment here! Keep up the good work.
