The Media

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Most of us get our news from the media, such as the BBC, HTV, Newspapers etc. Due to recent tories I can’t help but think that the media stories are linked to money. If that the case then maybe it is the sign of the times that people are morally and financially corrupt?

For example recently the media talked about the hurricane bearing down on USA and currently another hurricane heading for Texas. Why it is the islands that the hurricane has gone through just get a passing mention, but Texas get full news and developments of evacuation and hesteria? and the hurricane has not even reached Texas yet!!! The hurricane may even blow itself out before it reaches Texas.

When all is said and done don’t the people who live in the Carribean Islands suffer more than their weathly neighbours?

I question the media choices when they choose their stories. Do they choose their stories on newsworthiness or monetary value? If it is the latter then the media is surely morally corrupt.

However there is one guiding light and that is the traditional media is slowly losing control to the public through blogs. The truth will get out.

The Wonderful Search

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

I have just added a google search page that currently searches all my favorite blogs and soon will select all my favourite websites.

http://www.evejam.co.uk/wordpress/search/

This will mean if I wanted to search RNId I will get all the true results about RNId :-) fantastic.

Or (once I have added the websites) if I wanted to search about Java I will get results linked to the Java programming language rather than Java Coffee.

If you have any website that you think would be useful please drop me a line.

Live Long and Prosper.

This search page no longer exists after the web revamp on 25th October. Sorry!!!
