Well I am not captain geek but it looks good when you write it down.

I have been unable to set up a crontab or even the cronless postie plugin. So in the end I had to resort to using an invistable iframe which will run when ever anybody visits the blog. For people who want to know how to do an invisible iframe you simply add the following code to your footer.php file.

I think part of the problem is most of the cron jobs advice are for pre wordpress 2.5.1 and from wordpress 2.5.1 onward the cron jobs are built in to the application. I may be wrong but it will have to do for now until some bigger Geek than me provides a solution.

Time to get on with more important stuff than crontabs such as ummmm (oh boy) this is hard!! what more important than cron jobs… mmmmmm ummmmmm which I had a choice of 50/50 or call a friend! … ummm

Before I started this website life was peaceful then along came the postie and everything was fine, but to get the postie to come regularly was a pain and was told to contact the crontab.

Like all service centres you are put on hold until you hang up and try again, then you try a different way and you still can’t access the damn crontab. Maybe I need to put 18001 in front to call?

You set up a crontrol wordpress plugin and it still doesn’t work so you scream and scream and scream infinity number of times and your life goes out of all proportion. You become so obsessed with finding the solution so much you don’t know who you are any more.

The more problems you try to solve the more problems you create.

Time to calm down and ask for support, there is no shame in asking for help. So if any you of bloggers know how to do a cron job so the postie comes regularly please leave a comment so the world can learn.
